After losing her daughter in an accident, Carmen (Carmen Machi) loses all incentive to keep going, until she receives an unexpected letter from the adoption agency: her daughter has finally been granted the Vietnamese girl she had asked for adoption and whose name is Thi Mai. Along with her two best friends, Elvira (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón) and Rosa (Adriana Ozores), who have never left Spain, Carmen decides to travel to Vietnam to complete the adoption process. There they will be joined by a stiff but noble Vietnamese guide, in addition to Andrés (Dani Rovira) a kind young man who will give them a hand in his adventure. Of course, the cultural shock, the bureaucratic labyrinths and the peculiarities of each of these three women will turn the trip into a succession of misunderstandings, crazy situations and delirious decisions.
